Mission and Vision

Our vision is founded on the understanding to the human person as being created and known by God. On this basis education serves the individuals by enabling them to mature and flourish. We believe this would enrich our national education system.

The specific mission of Saint Joseph school remains the integral formation of the human person, developing harmoniously their own physical, moral, intellectual and spiritual gifts and they must also be helped to develop their sense of responsibility, learn the correct use of freedom and participate actively in social life.

Overview

The De La Salle Christian Brothers religious order was founded by St. John Baptist De La Salle in 1680 in France. Today it is the largest religious order of men specializing in education, currently operating schools in eighty countries on five continents. De La Salle himself is today honored as the Patron Saint of Teachers.

It is the mission of St. Joseph School to teach students to live, discovering the deepest meaning of life and of transcendence- going beyond themselves- to interact mutually with others, to love creation, to think freely and critically, to find fulfillment in work, to plan the future; in one word to be. St Joseph aims to becoming a center of a greater network that, from the smallest village to the most complex metropolis, wraps the world in hope. It is in education, in fact, that the promise of a more human future and a more harmonious society lays. This is basic not only to St. Joseph School but also the whole De La Salle Christian Brothers educational system.

It is the hope of St. Joseph School that its students be human beings who continue on the road to becoming fully integrated young men, who respect differences among people’s cultures while recognizing the oneness of the global family to build peace.
